I grew up in the city but I’ve worked in the prairie agriculture sector all my life. After going to University of Saskatchewan and getting a Degree in Animal Science I never looked back. I helped out on my uncle’s farm during high school and university for some practical experience. My career has been varied, rewarding and challenging. I’ve met many many great people through my jobs in sales, research, teaching and extension in both the private and public sectors. It seems that the opportunities have never been better to have a rewarding, well-paid career in agriculture. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend a career in agriculture.

The story of Canadian agriculture is one of success, promise, challenge and determination.
